Professional Investment Management

Strategies that are aligned to you AND market activity

You’ve probably met with other advisors that have talked about “asset allocation strategies” aligned with your personal risk profile. Respire Wealth Management uses “tactical asset allocation strategies.” There are five base allocations aligned with investor risk profile types. By completing the online questionnaire and answering 11-12 questions you can see which portfolio aligns to your risk tolerance, need for access to funds (liquidity need), how long you plan to invest, and your overall investing experience. Or, you can call or book online using the online booking tool. However, Respire takes it a step further and has built in rules based on quantifiable data that result in portfolios becoming more defensive in times of significant market turbulence.

One all stock portfolio for experienced, high net worth, aggressive investors

If you’re a seasoned investor, you may be familiar with “growth at a reasonable price” strategies. This portfolio, affectionately named “The Beanstalk,” is only for accounts with over $250,000 due to the number of transactions that may occur on a monthly basis. It’s all stock all the time and never leaves the market. The multi-part screen searches the S&P 500 Index for companies with good dividends and strong earnings that are likely to maintain or increase their dividends. Then, a current valuation is determined and compared to the companies’ current trading prices using present value of future expected dividends to find companies that are considered undervalued when using these metrics. This method of finding “reasonable prices” is different to other strategies that use price to earnings ratios or EBITDA and can’t be compared to the two.

Financial Planning

Planning for all of your goals, not just retirement

Some firms only focus on retirement planning. We can do that too. But, lots of other financial events happen in clients’ lives. Sometimes clients need help saving for a child’s college education, a vacation property, a nest egg, or sometimes they just need a little financial direction. Planning should be goals-focused, not just investment-focused.

Our planning process

Your advisor will work with you to uncover all your goals and the details of your personal finances. She will outline the scope of the planning relationship, so you know what to expect. Third, your advisor makes recommendations and helps you establish timelines for reaching each of your goals and gives you a meeting schedule that will be used to track goals through the process. The advisor monitors your progress and helps you make adjustments along the way, revisiting your financial details as life changes occur to help you stay on track for every goal that’s important to you. The entire process is collaborative between the advisor and the client via our planning portal.

Some clients want financial planning with investment management while others only want financial planning. Six hours of financial planning included is included in the annual fee for investment management clients. We offer an hourly fee schedule for clients who arenít ready to invest.
